Rania Hoteit is an entrepreneur, speaker, writer, social impact leader, startups advisor, mentor and panel judge. She is the CEO and Co-founder of ID4A Technologies, a San Francisco based Design Technology company. She holds an extensive experience across the fields of Environmental, Industrial Design and Product Development, User Experience and Design Strategy, Production Design, Architectural Design Systems and Technologies. Throughout her career, she worked in cross-disciplinary collaborations with leading global companies in Design, Technology, and Business Innovation such as Steelcase, GE, JPL, NASA, Walmart, Amtrak and many startup organizations. She also has numerous R&D; collaborations on proprietary processes in advanced manufacturing technologies with privately held companies and innovation research laboratories.
In addition to her various business entrepreneurial activities, Rania is an active leader in social impact initiatives on equality, gender justice, women empowerment, and education. This year, Rania was recognized by The US Department of Education for collaborating on the CTE Makeover Challenge, and by The White House Office of Science and Technology Policy’s invitation to the Champions of Change for Making event and kickoff of the National Week of Making recognizing her significant contributions and leading efforts in technical education to empower, support, and inspire design and manufacturing, and for her company’s contributions to advance technology platforms that empower and expand the resources available for designers, architects, makers, inventors and entrepreneurs that foster the development of advanced manufacturing in the United States as the World. Rania was also honored by her nomination as “ChangeMaker” at The United State of Women Conference convened by The White House for her contributions to empower girls and women in education, business and technology and for her relentless efforts to make the world a more gender equitable place.
She’s recently spoke at the Wonder Women Tech Conference dedicated to highlight the women who paved the way for future generations within STEAM innovation and entrepreneurialism, and she was honored at the Flight 2 Freedom Summit with the "Ambassador of The Year" 2016 Award for her initiatives in social impact and business leadership supporting education, gender equality, and women empowerment in entrepreneurship.
